Peru’s avocado exports to the European market have surpassed potential competitors like South Africa and Chile, according to freshplaza.com.
The country exports 50 000 tons of the fruit a year to EU.
Projections are that avocado exports this year will reach $ 100 million, 70% to the European market and 30% to the United States.
